Vintage Fender

Saw this the other day, and my eyes got misty listening to these tones :'(
I may later on look at getting someone to try re-make this old chap for me (if at all possible).

Anyone here tried / own the Boss FBM 1 pedal?
Im usually not big on pedals at all. In fact in years past Ive tried to avoid them at all costs, but if anyone has some experience with this one, Id love to hear some feedback on it.

Already Im thinking up cunning and deviously corrupt schemes to maybe sell my neighbors house to an unsuspecting buyer... Hell for 10 bucks extra they can even keep the guy still living inside of it ?

The current exchange rate is killing me here :'(

Yes i have used the fbm pedal boss make , i was looking for a preamp for my battery powered rig .....chris from the forum loaned me one to test ...... I was suitably impressed .... But remember i need this to use in a compact travel rig , not the studio ... So i didn't want perfection cos i doubt that pedal can truly stand in for a real tube amp BUT i liked it enough to order the fdr pedal ...from stuart at marshall and fetching it this wk .... It has fender modelling and reverb and trem in one pedal .... So for my travel rig its ideal ....

Bottom line is they relatively cheap so if you not expecting too much i think they will impress you

i loved the tone and drive of the bass man pedal only went for the fdr one cos of reverb and trem ....

Try it out marshall music woodmead has a bassman one in stock ....call stuart

I recently bought the FDR1 and the FBM 1 second hand (although both are mint) really not bad considering. Supposedly you can chain them. Steve Travato demonstrates here.

So I'm on look out for the FRV1. Great little portable units to flavor tone.

The FBM gets you in the ballpark tonally, but (as with any modelling) you can't really compare to a good example of the real thing - especially feel-wise.

Im still kinda at the experimental stage of getting back into guitar again. I know the basic core of what I like and need, which is why Ive decided on the Marshall (after listening to it properly) and the LP. I kinda had to decide beforehand though, between the vintage tone's I liked and power behind the 1/2 stack. I dont play enough bluesy rock to justify a Fender buy :-/ Which is why I opted for the 1/2 stack instead. The 2203 is a very simple JCM800 if you dont activate the KK "beast" mode, with basic hot rodding with the KT88's.
This is why I though, if I could eek out a bit of a clean sound on the single channel, I could still get some simple Fender tone's out of this pedal :-[

Long run, if I find Id like the "feel" of the real deal, Id look into having a pseudo boutique Bassman made from copied schematics / or close to ?

The pedal sounds okayish for my basic purposes, but Im nervous of Boss. :-\
