Although to be honest I would chuck out the whammy bar and "hard tail" the guitar...
They're more hassle than they're worth unless you have a descent system and know what you're doing with the set-up. :-\
I agree with DaFiz, if you are not going to be using the trem, rather hard tail it, do it in a manner you can reverse though, so that somehwere down the line, should you wish to have the floating bridge again, you can have that option. Get a trem stopper or just use a good piece of solid wood (cut to exact size with a +/- 1.5 mm tolerance) to stop the block from moving.
I have the exact same Cort guitar (I think) purchased from X-rated Bob, mine has been modded though but the build quality makes it a pretty solid and decent sounding guitar. I'd advise you to hang onto this one and upgrade it later as you desire. For now take the guitar to someone who knows how to do a proper setup. I know a full setup including new strings will cost you about R200 and springs will cost about R27 if you go to Musicmate at Eastgate. (I apologise if you are not in JHB, didnt check your location.) I took a friend there who just got his first guitar to have setup done about a week ago.
