I want to restring my Bass Guitar.
What strings should I put on?
Is there a big diffrence between the cheapies and the more expensive strings?

Different basses sound good with different strinegs, and different bassists prefer different strings. Whether you like the sound of cheaper or more expensive strings is up to your ear and your bass.
On average though, R300 strings sound better than most R100 strings. Whether R600 strings are twice as good as R300 strings is up to you.
What bass do you play, and what sound are you going for?

I bought myself a Ibanez 4 String Bass Guitar.
It was second hand, but still in very good condition. I want to have it tuned and maybe restrung, but still deciding.
Want to play Blues and some Rock on it!

Rock means you want roundwounds. Why do you think you want to restring?

Thought of putting on some thicker strings.. Feels better on the fingers!

i recently bought a secpond hand bass to muck around with..... was a lil tatty and grimy but a good clean and polish and looks as good as new...I bought a set of strings 45-105 for a 4 string bass as the previous strings were prolly the original strings and the bass is 8 years old.... Flea endorsed and came to 300 for the pack..i did a double take in store ???
fitted em , cant really tell the difference but at least I know now they are new so gives me peace of mind..... damn expensive so will restrict this to every year or other year for that matter..... and they look nice an new ?

I got a set of Magma strings for my 5 string for about 150 bucks. They seem decent ? but I have nothing to compare them to as it was my first new set of strings
