Meet a Superstar

So, how does some people get it right to meet that superstar that is visiting our shores?

Forget the priviledged ones that is part of the production / promotors / sponsors etc.

How does an average person that does not have contacts do this?

Well, I tried....massive fail!

Maybe I am just stupid, but would certainly like your thoughts on the subject, as I have very little knowledge on how the industry works.

I know an international touring band has plenty challenges and intinary etc., and access to them may at best be impossible, however, when you send e-mails to the promotors, the radio stations involved and any other connection that may possibly be able to give you an answer, and you get the middle finger with no response.

I did not expect to get a red carpet VIP solution, hell, my son just wanted 2 minutes with his idol for a photo!
Is that to much to ask? Someone could have mailed me back and just said ...NO!!!, can't be done, and I would have accepted this.

I was even prepared to buy the VIP tickets or do whatever else is needed for such an opportunity, hell, I could not even get an answer as to where to buy such tickets, as this is not readilly available on i.e. computicket!

Warren's closest - get in any position where they will need to meet you. Even then, you are limited by etiquette - don't think a member of the road crew or promotions company can sit down with Slash and have a nice chat about guitars over a beer. Your best bet would be to manoeuvre yourself into a position where it's your job to talk about such things with stars - i.e. a music journo.

But seriously, what did you expect? >☹ If it were easy, there would be many thousands of fans who could get access to these folk and the artist's life would be a living hell.

Even as an opening act you would probably be excluded from their area due to you being lower down the food chain...I guess...
