The "Vintage" Brand Guitars, who owns one and are they good?

So, following my last post where I asked for advice with regards to doing a guitar build. I am currently shopping for a cheapy strat copy to serve as my project guitar and a used original LP. As I searched the internet and the various pawn shops in my part of the world, I came across these "Vintage" guitars at a music shop at Greenstone mall. I think its called Music Connection or something similar. I gravitated towards this guitar (I'm telling you, she was calling out to me in a soft voice) http://www.nationalaudio.com.au/products/VRS100C.html I fell in love! Or maybe it was just the GAS goggles but.... the sustain on her, the tone, the knife-edge carving on the body. She was just perfect. She just sings so beautifully, and this was through a cheap Washburn 15W amp! The salesman told me a story about Vintage being a company that was started by some ex Gibson designers or something and how they really aim to produce high quality instruments etc etc. Anyway, that was a few weeks ago. I have come across the same guitar at a demo discount price and am seriously thinking of buying this guitar. Perhaps the one I played was a "hit" and I may find the cheaper one to be a "miss" even if they are the same model, but .......It will be a by-product of my main search for the start copy and LP. Besides, if you are reading this then you probably will agree that one can never have too many guitars ? Does anyone know more about "Vintage" guitars or own one? Any insight with regards to the instruments?

Very interesting the Wilki Pickups taken off my VRS are not as described in the text, for example; they have a copper base plates not nickel silver this is why I made that statement, apparently the first vintage guitars which came out with coil cut switches had better pickcups
