It's Frank Zappa Day!

Just finished Roxy& Elsewhere

Listening to Just Another Band from LA, for the first time in at least 30 years. Billy the Mountain is good stuff ?

Next will be The Grand Wazoo

Awesome stuff. Been listening to a bit myself earlier this week - Uncle Meat. There's SO much Zappa material though (I wonder if I'll ever get anywhere near hearing it all), I think you need to make it Zappa month or something ?

I would have loved to see this live. Apparently Zappa Plays Zappa did this in it's entirety on a recent tour

"Billy the Mountain
Billy the Mountain
A regular picturesque
Postcardy mountain
Residing between lovely
Rosamond and Gorman
With his staning wife Ethel
A tree, a tree"

Now you got me going...
Black Napkins followed by The Torture Never Stops,
and then I'll just let the whole Apostrophe play :bopping:

The Grand Wazoo

I bought this because of the cover but if you can understand it, it's an incredible album

Just listen to Cletus Awreetus-Awrightus, it's so hectically good. It's at about 19:21 of the clip

Squonk wrote The Grand Wazoo

Ah! Thanks - you made me realise I hadn't listened to Wazoo for quite a while - and it is one of the ones I really enjoy. I just remembered it's one of the ones I haven't digitized yet (54 and counting though, so only about a dozen to go - I haven't bought many of the posthumous ones).

Added to my "to-do" list. ?
