We'll have a lot of 60's stars orbiting the light in the next few years... a chance for celebration of their music again I suppose.

The three Sunset Strip clubs (IE clubs on Sunset Strip) where the Doors made their name - The Whisky A Go-Go, the Viper Room and the Roxy - dimmed their lights for 10 minutes last night (probably this morning SA time).

I tried but I didn't get the Doors.

But I think in that time of my great musical discovery period, I battled with 60's and 70's American bands.
But I do acknowledge the influence they have had, and Ray in particular

The same reason I didn't get the Stones :-[, they sounded too American ?
