I don't care for any sport except cricket and the annual IPL 20/20 cricket competion keeps us ( my partner and i ) spell bound for 2 months.... Sadly only 4 matchs left ..... Thankfully my team made the play offs ....and thus qaulified for the champions league later this year .
Tense week ahead
so who else is an ipl fan ?
And as luck would have it , i have a wedding booking on the day of the final .....obviously not cricket fans..... But the pvr will catch each ball ......for delayed viewing ?
then we need to wait a whole 10 months till it starts again ...
I find because of the teams being mixed from top players world wide , the games seem more exciting than national games .... And really where would you see chris gayle get 175 not out in 20 overs .... And most games bar a few get right to where the last ball can win or lose it .... Nail biting cricket and entertaining beyond what one expects from cricket ...
A huuuuuuuge fan

Good to see that you get your mind away from jazz, jazz, jazz every now and again ?
Not really cricket for the purists but still enjoyable though - the guys that do well here still tend to play mostly "proper" cricket.
Good to see so many South African's in the IPL as well.
The champions competition thingy where the winners and runners up of each country's T20 league compete is also pretty good for the same reasons you give for the IPL beig great?
Who will Quinton de Kock play for - his IPL team or the Lions?
Agreed that the matches do tend to be closer than 50 overs games in that they more often come down to the last over or so.
