X-rated Bob wrotePay attention to Arno. He's in the business and has been for years. He records. He has contracts. He plays in a band that has a lot of experience (here and overseas), that write material, that have to deal with publishers and so on. Arno knows whereof he speaks.
I second that. Trust Arno's advice.
Thank you for that vote of confidence guys.
Years of dissapointments, countless bad experiences, broken promises and shattered dreams have made me a bit jaded towards the music industry in general.
Let's be honest, it's not an easy business to get into nevermind making a living from it allthough I have managed to do that for almost 25 years now. You need to have hair on your teeth to survive.
At the same time, the "high's" are extreme and 1 awesome gig makes up for 100 forgettable ones.
My main point, Mrs. Guitarmom, is that I do not think any 13 year old kid posesses the emotional tools to deal with the sharks out there and there is only so much "protection" you can offer.
I'm just looking out for her well-being and future developement as an artist here by pointing out a few pittfalls.. That's all.
