Cape Town Stores?

Hi...Just One Question . Where Are the Good Guitar/Music Stores In Cape Town? And Any online Stores that ship to Cape Town? If that Was more than One Question I apologize. And where The Les Pauls At? *hint hint I'm Too poor for a top class one..but reasonable ones that Sound great? ...Too Much to ask? :-\ ???

Gibson and Epiphone are brought into South Africa by Marshall Music, who, lucky for you, have two stores in cape town, that I know of....one on Buitengracht in town, and one on main road in Tokai.
Paul Bothners in Calremont and Plumstead are also shops in Cape town. Other than that, I know of Obz music in Obs, and Thundercloud in noordhoek, but not many more this side of the world.

I would highly recommend the following stores for great service and prices...!

Thundercloud Music in Fish hoek - Jaco or Terry
Musiekwereld in Belville - Cobus
Sound Select have a nice brand new shop in Woodstock - (122 Victoria Street)

Then there are also the Paul Bothner stores and Marshall Music which you can check out. PLENTY options down there ?

Sound Select in woodstock? Drove past there the other day, but assumed it was a HiFi and car audio place perhaps PA speakers and live sound as well

Do they stock guitars, amps and pedals and studio equipment ??

Musiekwereld has an amazing collection of guitars, yes, but imo theyre prices went up considerably wen they moved the shop across the street.

they are heavily geared towards live sound and DJ equipment, but they do stock guitars and other MI gear downstairs... Worth going to visit them as they have quite a few opening specials.

Three words ... Tokai, Tokai, Tokai
You CAN get a top class guitar that sounds great for a reasonable price, it just won't say Gibson on it.
Not sure where you can get on in CT but PM TokaiSA and he can point you in the right direction.

No I don't have any affiliation, I just love my Tokai ?

Here in JHB one always gets discounte prices and then one can negotiate on this. Times are bad and they(unlike some other shops I know) seem to need the business and are willing to put in the extra. Their Woodstock shop only opened last week or so they were selling everything at cost of all items in the store and they were taking orders aswell for titems they did not have. If its not on their website thay get it for you.
Sorry you missed this oppertunity but hey talk to them, maybe they can back date your order? ....

No man unfortunately I dont, It sucks, I have been meaning to get some for a few years now, just never got around to it! ?
