why i'm writing this.... is cos in the last few days i have had the unbelievable sense of excitement building ... like a kid 3 days before xmas ..... and why .....am i getting some top end guitar? ......... a boutique amp? no nothing that fabulous .......simply my tele partcaster has yet another rework and i will get it back on wed ..... nothing custum shop or luthier built ...but i'm still excited and can't wait .........so wierd... i have guitars i love and at the moment offer me exactly what i want for my gigs ... but this cheap ass tele partcaster .... is somehow so exciting
maybe for me the challenge was to assemble a tele partcaster as affordably as possible but still make it the way i wanted it .......... and decided to slowly build it up/add parts i felt i wanted as they fell into my lap ..or at least were advertised on gumtree
so now it's been improved by a better neck ....and vintage kluson style tuners . resprayed vintage white ( it was sunburst) and the neck pup has been replaced with a genuine 60's huge single coil ... not quite a P90 but along those lines (although what i really want in time is a Lollar charlie Christian neck pickup ) and of course for this the body it needed to be routed to hold the p90 sized pup .......and a new scratchplate made and i have a humbucker in reserve with another scratchplate cut for it ....if i find this single coil does not live up to the expectations i placed on it ........ so wed morning is reassembly and testing time .......

so yes arn't we just guitar junkies.....
