Hi doods! I'm not well informed on Superstrats etc. Does anyone know anything about this guit advertised on Gumtree (CT)?

No info, but on the pix you can see its called a Mercury. HSH configuration.

My friend plays a Washburn, not quite sure what (Chicago series I think), that looks a lot similar to that one. His Washburn has a Floyd Rose tremelo in which is cool. If it's the same one, buy it if it's in good condotion. Very nice guitars.

IIRC, The mercurys were the budget line from about ten years ago. Made in Korea by Samick. Were about R1,000 new then. For R800 it's alright - good way to get a Floyd Rose guitar for cheap, but wouldn't compare to one of the entry level Floyd Rose equipped Ibanii (which would cost more secondhand).

My laaitie started playing recently. Ive still got him on a nylon string, but he's already hinting for a 'Bucker equipped electric. Is interested in hard rock. So, Im basically keeping my eyes open for any beginner bargains.
