So I'm sure this has happened to a lot of people, but my strap came off the guitar and I couldn't catch the guitar before the floor decided to catch it for me. And don't worry all my guitars have strap-locks now. Lesson learnt the hard way.
Yup. I learned the hard way too (although mine was due to bad/cheap straplocks rather than none). It's a lesson you don't forget in a rush.
1: So. Where can I buy bridge posts, I've called a few shops and they say they can't help.
Try repairpersons first - it's the kind of thing you end up with a few around the workshop. Otherwise, what diameter are the posts? I might have something (at least with an Asian guitar you know it'll be metric threads).
2: The wood at the one bridge post has cracked. Should I be worried? Should I just put some wood glue there and hope for the best?
Not serious, but it will need sorting out or it will probably get worse and become serious. Simple fix - syringe and a good cyanoacrylate glue. Don't use a cold wood or other glue, they are not very good at penetrating cracks, while a good, thin CYA is like water, both in viscosity and colour.
Remove strings and springs to remove all tension. I'd also recommend removing the bridge so you can check to see if the crack runs through the anchor hole to the trem cavity. I would leave the anchor in place - if you glue it in (they are press-fitted), you can still remove it later if needed by simply heating it up to break the glue bond.
Mask off the sides of the crack in any cavities and fill the crack with glue. No need to clamp. Leave for 24 hours before reassembly. Should be stronger than new.
