Went there last night to see the following :

1 sea of greaan
2 aiden martin ba d
3 albert frost trio

First the venue, no one can ever accuse it of being up market but hey thas the way i roll. I like these kind of places but prefer urine in the urinals than on the floor but thats the way it goes. Beer is cheap, cold as one expects at a student jol. Mostly student bohemian types that hang out there, well certainly last night. Excellent vibe even though it was pissingdown...its on lynnwood road in pretoria if anyone intersted in ever going...

Onto the music:

Sea of green.... I beleive the guitarist was playing a smoothtalker which is the first time i have ever seen one on stage. But i digress....good opening band ...i enjoyed them alot ,a hellova lot......

Aiden martin band: excellent ....very remiscent of the late 60's early 70's ..the man is amonster on the fretboard andif i closed my eyes the images of led zep would play ... T rex, led zep, gallagher fans u should catch this band,,..

Albert frost: i have not seen him in many a year...and damn the man has improved..... A whole pile...

We have great talent inthis country.....we need to support them more ...local is indeed lekker....get on down to yr local live music venue.....just do it

Hey Ice Cream man! Thank you so much for the kind words - I play in Sea of Green.
That smoothtalker is something else! I was very lucky to get one (actually on Guitar Forum). I have got to know Mervyn Davies over the last year or so and I know his backlog for those guits are almost 2 years.

Ah a small world....I enjoyed you guys.... It's a formula that works well...so keep at it....

Let me know where/when u guys play ..... Need a gig guide on this forum so ppl can be kept up to date of gigging members....it was a great evening out..
