Great Pelican Bills, my stomach is not as strong as I thought... Thank goodness I didn't want to become a surgeon! I hope you have one hyper-driven recovery!!! In the mean time, you can get a blues harp, don't need too many fingers for that now!!!

I caught my finger inbetween some concrete slabs in the garden a little while ago and nearly crapped myself - and that didn't even break the skin, only a faint blueish tint underneath the nail. Can't imagine how much pain you must have felt...

It hurt like a beeyatch!!! Instinct was to grab below the gnarly break and keep pressure on it. When the set medic showed up (finally) I had him give me a piece of gauze to wrap it with while I waited for the ambo.

The worst pain came later....when the plastic fixed me up. Stitching through the nail is not something I feel I ever need to experience again.

Thank you everyone. A lot of you are new to me. Some I have seen on threads or talked with like PeteM and Chris77. Are you guys newish to the forum? Not that I am an alumni.....LOL!!
