I found this amp on Gumtree about a year ago for cheap, with the intention of adapting it for guitar. I mean, its a vintage valve amp for crying out loud. Also, how difficult could it be?! Of course, going from playing an amp to actually building it turned out to be a challenge too big for me... So, after staring at it for a couple of months, I gave in and contacted Benjamin Craig. Interestingly enough, he did not seem to have the same qualms I did... ?
Anyway, fast forward a bit, and I now have the pleasure of a New Not So Vintage Vintage Hand Wired Amp Day!
I really liked the look of the original chassis, and luckily Benj was able keep it as is.

It has two channels, MIC and GRAM. MIC is a little brighter than GRAM. I can have them both on at the same time, which to me just sounds fantastic! Really brings it to life!
I don't know what is what in terms of the valves, other than the power valves being 6v6s, and that the really big one changes it to DC. Or something... :-[
It's been an absolute joy dealing with Benj. He's a really passionate guy that does some awesome and fantastic work.
