Yamaha THR !!!!

ok so i went to a studio today, in i walk and there is this funny looking thing, Yamaha THR.

i already judged it and made fun of it.

The guys recorded and entire song with this thing, and i am pretty amazed at how good it sounds.

There's a guy on gumtree selling the thr5 for under a grand, I was very intrigued. The cleans sound great, I'm not too sure of the Mesa channel but it'll be great for a bedroom amp

yes i tried this out at marshall music a while back .....

they F#$%^%$ awesome............ AS LONG as you never want to leave your bedroom/studio with it .... i found typically yamaha high quality sound and effects.... and the sound in a small space was awesome from those tiny speakers............ but it's too soft to even take to a small jam ...so great for the studio/bedroom and even for teachers/music students as it's very light weight .... however i'll wait till they bring out the 20 or 30W version thereof and i tried the 10W and it was not loud at all BUT the sound it produced was awesome and high quality .........

rumour /press has it this was designed by yamaha musical instrument division in conjusction with their Hi FI division so pristine sound was the goal

and as for seeing one under a grand on gumtree...at that price snap it up cos the list price is closer to R5500 then maybe about R4000 with discount or a bit less /more depending on how nice the store is...so for under a grand ... unless it's 'hot" (stolen ) merchantdise it's a fabulous deal and make sure it's the right product too ... ?

lastly they originally only came out with a 5W acoustic one and a 10 W electric one... but now the next generation electric ones are still 10W but one lends more to fender tones and the other to heavier amp models...... but there's plenty info online about em

About that one for sale, I sent an email last night and I'm just waiting for a reply... But at that price it probably won't stick around for long.... :'(
