So, as the wife and I are 'clearing the clutter' and preparing to put our house on the market, I managed to raise some cash from selling some of my old fish tanks off (I used to breed fish to try and earn a living, but couldn't continue with it, due to health issues, so had a good few tanks spare to sell off), and just a few days ago, I spotted yet another bargain on 'the tree' that I'd been looking for, for some time.....
I saw an ad for 'Ibanez Artcore Hollow body' for what seemed to be a bellow average price, and decided to contact the seller to see what he was actually selling? I was somewhat surprised when he told me what the model number was, which made this an even bigger bargain than I had first thought!
So, without further adoo.....
I introduce to you my newest bargain.....
What made it an even greater bargain was that it also included the Ibanez leather bound hardcase, which other than a good dust is in near perfect condition....
And just look at that subtle flaming! Its stunning.....
So, what is it?? Its an Ibanez AF95 hollow body finished in 'vintage sunburst', hence the threads title... 'New Ibanez Hollow Body Guitar Day'. The guitar is virtually immaculate, with the exception of a tiny scuff on the upper wing side, and some light 'plectrum rash' on the scratchplate. To say I'm somewhat over the moon would be an understatement! I've been looking for one of these higher end Ibanez' for a while now, but missed a few bargains earlier in the year, so this one came at just the right time, and had the right price tag for my somewhat empty wallet. The guitar came on the tree around 2 weeks ago, and I was paranoid that it was going to get snapped up before I'd mustered the cash together, but I'm somewhat pleased that I've now been able to go and get it!
The seller was actually a really nice guy, and as i was leaving, gave me a stunning Levy leather strap to go with the guitar! I'll try and post some pics of that later too! I've always loved Levy straps, since I bought my first one years ago, and had been looking to buy another one, but they are just so costly that I'd not bitten the bullet, so to get this with my deal was a real blessing! The seller gave me the strap as he is moving to my home town in the UK, so we had been having a good chat about life out there, and some nice areas he can go see. I think he appreciated my advice?! Hehe!
So, enough waffling! Enjoy the pics!
Regards
G!
