Watching Youtube today...Joe Bonamassa talking about
the then-new Gibson Les Paul Bonamassa edition.
He mentions that he sets his own version up with
PLASTIC saddles for the first, second and third strings
on the bridge....this dulls down the too-bright tone,
especially on the bridge pickup...

Yeah, I've known LP players with the '70s cannons, who liked the stock nylon saddles on the unwound strings, but the metal ones on the wound strings. I imagine the Graph Tech String savers would also be an option.
