Here's a recording and mix I did for someone' demo, they basically sent me a really rough draft and I redid everything, played guitar and bass, added a lot of new parts and the mixed it. (the lead stuff is a bit rough, just improved something in there and chose the one that didn't suck the most).

I like. Maybe a bit bass'y mix wise (i don't have amazing speakers though). Writing wise, interesting, reminds me of Tenacious D with Foo Fighters maybe with a bit of Bad Religion sprinkled in.

nice. i didn't notice it being too bassy, but often this kind of thing can be personal preference. also, i was listening through a semi-decent set of phones. the guitar work is actually one of the things i like the most, the bass 'line' is a little lacklustre for my taste, but probably well suited to the genre.

overall, very lekker. and a cool mix
