It seems that this has gone out in a blaze of no glory whatsoever... No tweets from Chevelle or Computicket (although apparently it was on the band's Facebook page)

Chevelle are coming to SA in May/June (31/05 in Cape Town, 02/06 in Jozi) ?arty:

Tickets on sale now at Computicket - although it seems golden circle for Jo'burg is sold out.
Thanks for the heads up man ?

I've known about it for at least two days - it's been on News 24 and Timeslive. Not that I actually know who Chevelle are.

Clearly you don't know good bands. ?

Well that's as may be or may not be, but I do read newspapers every now and then (though you could sully that honourable word by associating with the morass that is News 24).

I think Max was pulling your leg a wee bit there...
I try to avoid News24 since the I find the level of bigotry and general keyboard-warriorship particularly repellent.

To clarify my remark, I just meant that there have been a string of tweets from the band themselves lately, none of which made any mention of the SA tour.

I managed to get G/A standing tickets, but I may have to give them up if the Wal-mart thingy comes through.

EDIT - Repulsive, not repellent. *facepalm*

I agree totally with your comment on News24. You could not have said it a more succinct way. ?
I bought my tickets on Ticket Break as they had available tickets yesterday morning. I thought I was damn smart and smirked at all the dumb people waiting for computicket to release the tickets. But as the clock hit 9:00, the tickets went live on Computicket and the confusion hit me as I stood with 6 golden circle tickets from Ticketbreak. Luckely the friendly people at Ticketbreak phoned me and informed me that they will deliver my new computicket tickets to me ASAP. It seems that they were still bidding on who was going to sell the tickets till the time they were actually released. Still don't have my tickets, though. Just praying that they get their stuff in order soon. So yes, I kinda have tickets.
