Hey guys, is it just me or are there an alarming amount of fake guitars popping up online in SA recently. Just saw another fake prs modern eagle 513 on gumtree for R15k. Are these poor people unaware of the fact that they have fakes or are there peo
ple out there trying to scam us poor old guitar players?

I emailed him telling him it was a fake and he took the ad down. He apparently imported it and wasn't aware of the fact that it was a fake. It was pretty obvious though. The birds were wrong, the headstock cut was all wobbly, the tone controls were sunk too deep, and the body contours were very odd. It is the type of quality you will not see on an SE, nevermind an American made modern eagle. It is obvious that it was intended to be passed off as a PRS though.

well its a good thing PRS quality is so good for both SE and american models.
p.s: i am busy recording with a prs se soapbar, pretty kief guitar.
