So, today has been one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong. ☹ :'(
After having troubles with my wah and my supposed lifetime guarantee custom shop cable, I seemed to have broken a tube on my hot rod deville. The amp powered up as usual but when I switched it from standby to rock 'n roll it just died on me. I took both tubes out and the one looked a little corroded where the plug and glass meet. The were still the original groove 6l6 tubes so I didn't really expect them to last that long. It started to crackle a bit early in the week so I knew it was coming, I've got a new set of electro harmonix tubes on the way.
Are there any other things that might possibly be wrong with the amp? I thought I'd run it by the experience and expertise of fellow forumites before I let a techie open her up and have a look.

Yeah - there are other things that can go wrong, but they are far less common than valves wearing out.
The amp will need rebiasing when the new valves are fitted anyway, and the tech should make sure everything is in order when he fits them and does that.

I'll take that route then, thanks Alan! ?

Good luck!
