Scott Grove is a pretty interesting fellow when it comes to his vids on youtube, not my fav kind of person but non the less interesting. Check the vid on how to make a humbucker sound like a tele pick up... Not 100% but 80% there.

He probably repeats the same 4 sentences about 15 times each...
Never seen someone take so long to explain something so simple...
To save some time....The mod is that he removes the screws from 1 of the coils in each humbucker...

Yeah it is a bit ridiculous how much he talks before anything. But it sounds pretty cool.

Kalcium beat me to it. ? I was going to post the spoiler as well as waiting 7 minutes for the reveal and 10 for a sound example is just annoying.
Something which I don't think he mentions is this won't work as well with any 'bucker - the high output models like his Dirty Fingers work best for this. A more vintage PAF pickup will sound very wimpy if you take the row of screws out.

Another mod that works similarly is done using a pickup with two sets of screw coils (think GFS mean 180 or filtertron style pickups) and you remove screws from alternate coils. It has a similar effect to a p-bass pickup
