I switched to analog about a year ago! I love it.. but it's so expensive. Here is my short list..

Guitar:

Cort G260 series electric. The one with the hotrail pickups. Nice guitar but I need to upgrade.

Cort CJ - 10X acoustic

Amp

'66 Fender Bassman Head
This is amp is bitter sweet! It is the best sounding amp that i have ever played on. It is so smooth and the tone is amazing. What sucks however is the fact that it wants the best gear! and my cort electric lacks in all these areas. It is also very load. not for bedroom use (and this is where I play). So bitter sweet.

I have a 4X10 cab with old celestions.

Effects

Ibanez TS-9 tube screamer (this one was made in the 80's and is my fav)
Line 6 Echo Park Delay
Proco Rat (I modded it a bit - It wants a better guitar)
Vox Wah (also in the modding procces to remove muddyness)

I Am in stages of building my own effects so I will keep you updated.

Some choice bits of gear in there. Tube Screamer, Rat, Bassman, Vox Wah...

Those older G260s are not bad at all - the pickups are a bit "meh", but what stock pickups aren't these days? IIRC, that's the model that also had the roller nut and string trees (or was that the 2600)? If so, that was the only thing that stopped me getting one of those to mess around with.

i switched back to analog recently and i prefer it SO much more than digital ?

I'll trade it for a TS 808 ?

Igor

I've got 808 re-issue which I'm not using at the moment, but won't trade it for a TS-9, hehe

If I can get the Maxon OD808 or MXR GT-OD, I'll get rid of my 808

Martyr

more chance of someone having the mxr than the maxon in SA

Igor

Well, I know of a guy selling a Maxon

And the GT-OD is a custom shop item, so I don't think so . . .

Martyr

what maxon is he selling?

and i meant it as MXR is probably easier to get hold of than maxon because no one brings 'em into SA,you gotta order it from overseas....

Wrong.....

I know a guy who orders them. He currently has a Maxon OD808 in stock, but no OD820's.
PM me and I can send you the details.
