What's going on here? I have a chance to get a 12 string (would also be my first acoustic) for ultra cheap.... (I just bought a wah so I really don't have any extra money to stretch my budget and go for something better... It's kinda this or nothing at all)
I've heard about hondo guitars and from the searches I did they seemed to range from decent to total POS instruments....
What are your experiences.... Especially their acoustics...
And also what is the 2 on the end for? What makes a hondo 2 different from a hondo?

I don't remember all the details but Hondo II came about when some better-known brand bought the rights to Hondo and tried to revive it. The Hondo II are guitars to steer clear from - stay away or be sorry.

Ah thanks for the heads up! That's exactly what I was looking for. I'm guessing it would be better to just save up and buy a better acoustic in the future then. Do you think its worth it to try for R350 though? I mean that's really cheap for an acoustic... Let alone a 12 string

All 12 string flat tops battle with the string tension and tilt the bridge, creating a bulge in the top. It's just that the good ones can do so and still sound good, stay in tune and keep the braces glued to the top and the top to the sides. For R350 you can only buy tuning practice - lots of futile practice at that.

Don't buy a Hondo. Learn from those who have suffered before you.

Thanks for the advice guys ? I listened (for once...)
I'm definitely gonna steer clear of this one... It's better to save up and get something more reliable
Especially in the case if a 12 string
