So, I had been looking around for a decent but cheap acoustic that I could leave tuned to G in my studio, but had a Preamp fitted, so I could still use it 'live' when needed. And I spotted one such bargain, over on 'the tree' that fitted my potential needs to the tee! After much discussion with the seller through email, I went by this morning to take a look.... And this is what I got.....
Its a Crafter GAE18/N electro-acoustic featuring a solid cedar top, rosewood sides, and an LR Baggs Element pickup and LR-S plus Preamp. It sounds so nice, and thats with the rather dirty strings that are on it... I can't wait to get it fitted with a fresh set of Elixir's!
But it got better.... The seller also included some extras that I wasn't expecting, as he's going oversees, so just needed to clear stuff out, so I ended up walking out with a Capo, Boss TU-80 Tuner, guitar leads, wall hangers, a stand, two straps (one nice leather one), a handful of Plectrums, a string winding tool (that also cuts the strings afterwards) and a soft case for it! I couldn't believe my luck! It almost felt like I had robbed the poor fellow as I walked out with my arms full! What a guy! Anyway, these were all things that I'd been looking to get once I had enough spare cash to get some, so that saved me that trouble! Haha! So now, I need to decide whether to depart with my Epiphone FT-140 or not? Its kind of sentimental, but also kinda redundant, but has a great janglee sound for recording. What to do, What to do?!
Regards
G!
