dies anyone know where i can download click tracks for when i'm recording?

If you have software like Cubase or Cakewalk, it's all built in. Otherwise use the step sequencer to enter four quarter notes in a bar (accent on the one), loop it and play back through a softsynth on a drum track.

Thanks alan...does the click track get recorded into the mix then?i have both cubase and cakewalk

In Cakewalk if you use the built-n metronome, you can set it so it only plays when you are recording, not when it plays back or mixes down (Options - Project - Metronome). I think it's the same for Cubase.

Ok cool thanks?....which of the 2 do u prefer using?cakewalk or cubase?

I've been using Cakewalk all along (since version 3 for DOS), so that's what I'm most comfortable using. Currently I use Sonar 7 Producer. There's nothing wrong with Cubase or ProTools (although I still think Cakewalk has a slight edge for MIDI), I'm just not as comfortable using them.

I wanna get my hands on sonar and especially pro tools...i'm more comfortable with cakewalk as it stands but i'm trying cubase out?
