This thread is for your pics of your older Road Worn guitars- and other instruments. Here's a chance for them to excercise their mojo! I would prefer that relicced guitars were excluded, being perhaps worthy of a thread of their own.

although its sometimes hard to reflect the subtle relic, here is the back of my my 66 XII

and the whole guitar

has numerous chips and dings that are hardly visible in a picture

Kapepper - she's lovely. Have you ever dismantled her and, if you have, did you find any names stamped anywhere?

I only took the neck off once, to see the enck stamp, and if i remember correctly it was made somewhere early 66 (FEB 66)

i dont remember whatw as in the neck pocket

Ok, Chabenda here's some pics of my 2 Favourite "Mojo-ed" Strats.

My trusty '73 Strat and a '70 Strat that has been modded with active EMG's. I don't use that '70 that much but between the 2 guitars, they've done more than 5000 gigs and countless rehearsals and recordings. Old Strats just get better and better.

They're beauties Arno. Do you notice much difference in feel between the maple and rosewood fret boards when you're playing? My first Strat had a maple fret board and seemed to feel a lot different to my rosewood board. Saying that though, the '73 that resides with me looks identical to my '72 but also feels so much different ??? I have just fitted the '72 with a Cool Rail but want to go back to a Quarter Pounder.

Reinhard, those are three nice looking naked ladies. They certainly don't look 40! Great!

This one has been on before but I thought I'd put one more pic on before she leaves my house. My mate who owns her is taking her to Durban to keep a promise and give her to his nephew. He keeps asking his uncle when he is going to kick the bucket! Well, that's one lucky nephew!!

Please tell me this nephew understands what he's getting and will be able to put it to good use - and isn't just a spoiled brat with a very benevolent uncle.

Quite often there are names stamped on the inside of the scratch plate too. At one stage I had a Jazz bass, my Strat and a Telecaster, all sunbursts and all stamped with the names 'Chambers' and 'Berry' on the in side.

Left to right: '73/4 Strat; '61 Jazzmaster (refinished); '64 Fender Princeton Tremolo amp; 50/60's Harmony Uke; '72 Strat The piano is a mid 1890's John Spencer & Co from a garage in Tete. Oh, and the Tele is a '68 maple capped, much abused favourite.
