Asking this on behalf of a friend, who didn't have enough battery power on his phone to take a pic ?

Came across this older Digitech multi-fx pedal in a shop, R600. Seems pretty tempting if it's in good working condition. Anyone have experience with them, and/or opinions? Also, reckon it could be used for bass?

That is a bass multieffect. Digitech stuff is generally pretty good and I reckon for R600, you can't really go wrong...

I have some experience with the Digitech GNX3 (which is a guitar product), and it was a good piece of gear for practising and some live use.
As Alan pointed out, the pics you've posted are for something bass related.
For 600, it's a good score, provided it works fine and your friend plays bass.

EDIT : Forgot to mention...those footswitches can be quite iffy and do not like to be stood on. I.e. not for stompers.

Oooooh... Shows how much I know about effects ? Thanks guys, I think the main application is indeed for bass, though he would have liked it to be compatible with guitar as well. Pretty cheap, so I think it's pretty decent either way ?

It would probably only apply the effects to the lower frequencies? I assume the higher frequencies will be unaffected? I do the opposite... I play my bass through my guitar fuzz and amp and the clipping only happens on the higher notes while the low tones still seem a bit clean
