Another teaser from my ever growing list of projects.

Sorry only one (old) pic but will post more once my house renovations are sorted.

I used a gutted ValveKing chassis and iron and used a board from Ceriatone (Nik is awesome).

This is technically the 5XE on the site as it is set up to take 6L6s. (Big Neil Young fan here :-[)
I also installed a VVR.

I built it over Xmas but ran into problems and haven't looked at it since then.

Dropped it off with amp master Matt Alison this week and he had it working in minutes!

I have a 2x10 combo cab this is going into with some Eminence Legend 10s.

Hi Chris,

Nice to see you here. It was a pleasure to look at the amp for you, fix the mistake and advise you on changes that you can make to neaten it up and lower the floor noise. I hope the shielded cable came in hand on those input jacks!

Yes everything is looking good ?

I put the chassis into a 2x10 cab on the weekend.

Just need to wire up the speakers and crank it!

DIY cab I got second hand from gumtree a about a year ago:

I mounted the chassis in the cab but the valveking chassis isn't an ideal fit :'( so I need to work on a solution.

Dude that looks nice ?. When you get the chassis mounting problem sorted you must show us more pics right? How does it sound? Really interested to hear your thoughts. Anyway enjoy tickering and playing.

Sorry been busy!
The amp is up and running and sounds great ?

It overdrives if you just look at it funny! This is my first experience with a tweed circuit and there's really no headroom
even with 6L6s. Also the amp has two channels which are very interactive with each other. The volume/tone of one affects the other.

I was going to rehouse the amp and get a proper faceplate, knobs etc. but I kind of like the trashy pawn shop look it has at the moment.

The VVR is essential in my opinion as it lets you fine tune the 'meltdown'.
