Neck is ready for minor flatting on the rear and buffing in a week or so. Just need to let the clear dry properly for a while.

I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out. The staining has gone exceptionally well, as there is virtually no distinction between old yellow headstock and the new color neck.
I couldn't / didn't stain the headstock, as it still has it's original clear coat on it.
Through human eyes, and not a camera lens, it has worked really well!

Body has been sprayed now as well. (not without some major grey hairs I might add, but it's all good now).
That also needs to dry properly before final flatting and buffing.

Just Had A sneak Preview of this beauty Tonight. Trev has finished the neck and body and the spray work is stunning. Pics wont do it justice. He did a quick mock up of the electronics ( silver wire was used ) and we fired it up! It sounds Brilliant, event with no setting of intonation pickup heights etc! This old girl sings. Nice one Trev!

Right, here she is! I call her Lisa Marie Paisley ? ok maybe not... hehe

Unfortunately, there was accident on the cnc machine, when the router bit came loose (my bad for not tightening the chuck enough).
I will have to replace the pick guard at some point :'( so bleak...
When I replace the PG, I will add a rounding or a chamfer to the take the sharp corner off all around.
But at R800 for a new blank.. it's gonna have to wait a while..

The Bridge, Nut, and String trees have all been re-plated in Nickle.
It has a Graphtec graphite nut in place of the original plastic one.

Looking truly wonderful! Blueburst is one of my favourite Strat colours - although a mother of toilet seat guard is my first choice.

At least the SNAFU on the PG is in an area where it won't be too obvious while you wait to replace it.
