After a terrible experience with the Nokia Ovi music store last year, where I was conned into paying for one album twice by customer support after my first purchase wouldn't allow me to download my tracks (and then my downloads being de-activated after my second purchase so that I could not download) I thought what the heck, let me give them another try.
So I purchase another album (the money is immediately deducted from my account) that took my fancy and download the first track... sweet. Try to download the second track and nothing happens. Refresh the page and I get a message saying an error has occurred with my purchase, please try again.
My purchase is reflected in my download history, but in order to download any further tracks I am required to pay again. Screw these guys, I'm off to the piratebay right now to download the album. Someone let me know when we have a usable and fairly priced music service in South Africa.

I buy lots from ovi. I wonder what the problem is.

Problem is they're lame. And there customer support call centre is in India/Pakistan and the operators are PC illiterate and don't speak English.

I buy a lot of stuff from them, had a problem once with a few songs which they eventually reversed the cost of..but in hindsight I may have gone to their UK site and screwed something up...or something. I can't remember. It took them a few weeks to fix. But nothing since then. Touch wood.
I still prefer them to iTunes for the simple fact they were here and iTunes wasn't. Yes their interface SUCKS in comparison, but without them I'd have spent a fortune on CDs. (As opposed to a fortune on mp3's haha)

I eventually, after much frustration, was able to access my downloads and didn't have to resort to the piratebay. I would use iTunes, but I need mp3's, not aac/mp4 or whatever format they come in.
I guess I will just have to keep battling on with my first/third world problem and continue reluctantly feeding my money to Nokia.

Hey Doc, iTunes converts AAC to MP3 with one click (per selection, not song) at a bitrate of your choice.
Edit: there is also a freeware app called All2MP3 which turns anything into an MP3. Also takes about 10 seconds...
