Careful, and if going for it consider diversifying in guitar parts as well, keeping in mind you have to be competitive with stew mac. Although it depends on how seriously or aggressively you want to approached the market.
Yip. But Andre seemed to have a good system going. Online orders only was simple and effective. I don't know if pickups will be direct competition for stewmac though... Perhaps other parts but stewmac a pickup selection isn't the largest (mainly golden age and tv jones)
I think I'd probably have more competition from online dudes like Bareknuckle, Rio Grande, Guitarfetish and possibly local stores like Marshall who have the distributorship of Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio, fender and Gibson pickups...
Another problem is, how often do players change pickups?
Because to buy a full Inventory just to have 2 okes buy a set each and then nothing for 6 months afterwards isn't very good for business
