Is this a Small Clone circuit?
I really like the styling of the Danelectro guitars and pedals.
You can pick out the brand from a mile away.
Hows the build quality though?
I rate this would be a perfect candidate to rehouse into a Hammond type enclosure.
Well it seems pretty rock solid and well designed. It has one of the most accessible battery slots ive seen on a pedal and a durable rubber underlining. I haven't read about any of these failing and they have been around for quite a while!
I have no idea what it has under the bonnet... I can tell you what I can see through the battery socket and that is that it has 2 pc boards :?
The soldering visible from there looks pretty neat.
The only critique you may have on the design is that the sockets are mounted on the pcb and aren't reinforced with a screw to the casing. This may cause some trouble after excessive use I guess??
I'm not too keen on opening her up since it looks like alot of parts are assembled to the bottom plate and that's the removable part.
It has two outputs, one for the normal mono and one for a stereo effect. Apparently there's some hack you can do to make it sound like a tremolo. But I haven't looked into that yet! and as I mentioned it uses 18V DC (center negative)
Hope this info helps! Are we going to see a ST Cool cat clone sometime soon?? ?
