Fender Strat Customshop

My 2010 Customshop Strat in Fiesta Red. Has '69CS's in neck and middle positions and a Texas special at the bridge. I'm considering replacing the pups with 57/62's or rewiring so that the neck pup is connected in all 5 positions. This will certainly deliver a warmer or fatter sound, even in the bridge setting.

Do i notice some flame in your neck?

Very nice example Vic! it also looks like parchment knobs and pup covers on a white guard?

Thanks Norman. Yes there is a bit of flame or figuring in the neck. The guard is light-mint cream and the pup covers and control knobs are lightly aged to cream

Since you already have a Strat with the 57/62 p.ups

,If I were you I would try wiring so that the neck pup is connected in all 5 positions , as a first option, then if you still looking for a more Vintage/Original strat tone. Try the Fat50's or CS 54's set. But then again if you happy with the 57/62 totally go for it.

Just nice to have 2 strats with different pickup combos.

This one (Fiesta Red) I bought new here in Bellville/Cape Town (Musiek Wereld). Very nice player.

Thanks Andrew. As I said earlier I will definately first explore the re-wiring option.

I'm the owner of an Escort Agency and YES we do do hiring out ? ? (just kidding !!!).

No guys, I picked up only the '62 Strat recently...the others I've had for quite a while now but the earlier pics of these were a bit crappy.

Also I thought... add the Gibson '59 Les Paul to the post then members will actually read the thread ! ?
