Hey guys
I will be taking a few days off school to have a quick holiday in Cape Town (mainly to see the Chili Peppers ?) and I want to bring my acoustic guitar with.
I'm a little concerned about the heat in the car though - it's a 7 hour journey from Plett.
I definitely won't put it the boot, but then is it okay to leave it in the back seat? In or out the softcover? Covered by a towel or something?
Thanks for the tips!
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I'm on my phone and can't quite use the search bar :/

If you are worried, put one of those reflective sun shades you would normally put in the front window over the guitar. It could at least reflect any direct sunlight (which is probably your biggest concern).

Guitars are generally happy in conditions that make us comfortable, so travelling with you is fine. Just avoid sudden extreme temperature changes and direct sunlight.
For travelling, you should really have a hard case though. Not only so you don't have to baby the guitar in the car, but it slows down those temperature changes too - for instance between hot car and air conditioned hotel or air conditioned car and hot motel. ?
