Don't get your hopes up. They opened the Emporor's one 6 months ago already. Denholm and Brent were supposed to do the opening night and Alter-Irving the next night. Both gigs were cancelled less than a week before the shows. No budget. I play at the Odeon Showbar every Thursday and walk past Tanz every now and then. There never seem to be anything going on.

in that case, high flyers is probably a better venue! besides, leon and arno play there ?

Don't know when we'll be at Hi-Flyerz again. We did a Saturday night there in November, but haven't been back since. They've got a serious doef-doef-doef-disco vibe going downstairs on Saturdays and it's a bit hard for the upstairs bands to compete with it, so it's not the easiest gig in town....

This is a pity. Tanz was one of the last real quality live-music venues (that I knew of) in JHB.
