Does anybody know someone who can rip wood down to a thickness of about 5-10mm to use as bookmatched veneers for a guitar top?
usually the wood i have is 25mm x 150mm x length and my bandsaw only goes up to about 100mm

Pop into your local brach of Timber City, they will be able to cut it for you. The one in stijdom park has really good table saws (state of the Art) they will charge you for the cut but worth it when done properly. I would offer but my bandsaw has gone wonky. Happened midway in a cut of Mahogany on Sunday, had to finish cutting by hand. mahogany is dam hard.

? Thanks Saddle & Nut!
Yeah I tried on my bandsaw too and it went well for the first 5cm or so then it decided it was going left and ruined a beautiful piece of rosewood :'(
I guess I'll be frequenting my timber guy for all this ?
