Nicholas-L ? So yesterday I went to Marshall Music in Town and played a bit on some guitars looked at piano's with my girlfriend. I started out jamming on some of the PRS electric guitars just to get a feel for the scale length... Really lovely, but I own a few electric guitars already, but never bought myself an electric -acoustic. Knowing this I wondered over to the acoustic section staring at the Taylors and Martins but looked past cause I'm not going to sell a kidney for one of those just yet. I saw this guitar standing there all lonesome calling towards me.... hey you come play me. I picked it up went over to the little bench, sat down and started playing. Problem was I could hear jack .... with all the people talking and jamming every where. Behind me a girly on a cello that's plugged in, next to me a guy strumming his heart out on an acoustic and a kid on electric playing his metal riffs over by the electrics. I could hear the guitar was out of tune... but alas with all the noise struggled to get in tuned... eventually it got quiet around there decided to go back and see how this baby sounded. Took a few seconds and got it tuned.... My oh my what a sweet sound. :bopping: ... Mahogany back and sides and a solid spruce top all with a satin look and feel.
AlanRatcliffe Wonderful - congrats!. I don't regard the Taks as "also rans" the way some people do. They can keep up with the big boys in their upper price ranges and even their more budget-oriented guitars are a cut above.
Psean Nice! I have the same G-series and really enjoy it (aside from the nut needing an upgrade). They're nice guitars - enjoy ?
Psean Nicholas L wrote Was just thinking maybe would go for a Nut upgrade eventually Yeah, I'm planning on doing mine when I have the money - does the job for now though.
