independence free - where the #$%& do i find the serial number?

so i downloaded independence free from the website - http://pro.magix.com/en/independence/independence-free.1013.html. see? it's not like it's me being naughty of nuffink, they encourage you to do it. then, having installed the thing, they ask you for a serial number. now i've gone through that site pixel for pixel, and datum by datum. i cain't find nothin' that shows where to find the serial number.

anyone use independence free who knows what i'm banging on about? please help

No idea. Isn't there maybe an install instruction file - might be in there.

Have you tried pressing OK without entering a number - might just then run in "Free" mode.

thanks for replying alan. i went through all the install files - believe me, if i could have reverse-engineered this entire thing from start to finish to figure it out, i woulda, but i'm a bit doff like that. anyhoo, it turns out all you have to do is register. took a while to figure it out though. i had to exit the installer without entering a serial, then use the thing through reaper, then only did it ask me to register, on the same dialogue box that it requested the serial, so it took a while to see the other option, coz i was a bit fixated on telling the box i didn't know where to find the serial, plus the registration option was greyed out - to register, you have to enter your email address, then only does the bleeding registration become available.

oy. i can only hope this helps someone. anyway, for a free product that comes with about 7 instruments and around 2 gigs of relatively decent-quality sound files, i guess i shouldn't complain that much!

Hey dom, glad you got sorted. Their site is mighty confusing, it doesn't help that they seem to have merged into another company now either.
Where did you download the sound files? I missed a couple when I downloaded initially and now I can't figure out where to find them again...

howdy, and hanks. no idea i'm afraid - i just got it all in one fell swoop - the independence download manager did it all rather beautifully. perhaps try running the installer again, i think it has a repair function - you could see if that works.
