Ya, Shane Warne's comeback into cricket ended in a one year ban for "doping".
After the ban he came back and continued to be the greatest bowler in the world, and remains the greatest bowler of all time.
Let's remember Shane Warne as a doper, instead of the greatest bowler of all time.
Andre Agassi.
His come back was also on "dope".
Regained the No1 position on the ATP rankings whilst doped.
Andre Agassi, winner of all 4 Grand Slams on all 4 surfaces, a legend.
Let's remember him as a doper as well.
Diego Maradona.
Along with Messi the greatest players of all time.
Sent home from the World Cup in the USA, failed a drugs test.
Let's remember him as a doper, not the greatest footballer of all time.
They all lied and cheated...let's put them on trial. ?
Missing the point completely - Lance's whole career was built on doping, lies and cheating.
Shane, Andre and Diego at least had some credit for getting their careers to some respectability on their own merits, maybe doping happened later. not so in the case with Lance.
The whole Lance Armstrong career from day one was a farce, to even mention him in the same sentence as Shane, Andre and Diego is a joke.
Lance didn't just cheat, he maliciously tried to destroy those who were trying to get the truth out, That's what we are going to remember about him.
A phoney, Fake, Cheat and a Liar
Yeah, Squonk, I'm missing the point COMPLETELY, and you've got everything perfectly figured out. ..but you're looking at it from a very narrow minded point of view...it's a deeper story than you make it out to be.
You reckon Lance's entire career was built on drugs, he's been a doper since the day he first put his ass on a saddle.
Then how come it took him so long to win his first TDF, after all, he was drugged up from day one, he should have won the TDF immediately?
They were all on drugs, all the BIG cycling teams were on drugs at the exact same time that Lance was on drugs...the playing fields were level when Lance was diagnosed with cancer...or perhaps he never had cancer, maybe that was also "faked", or "phoney"? ?
The cancer killed his body, his body was 99% dead, he had chemo that most normal people wouldn't have survived.
Now the playing fields were no more level, Lance was dead and the other riders were drugging up and in perfect shape.
And then he began the coming back to life.
You think some steroids and PEDs can repair a dead body?
Not exactly, he worked & trained harder than any other rider in the world, he became more scientific than any other rider, and that's why he won the TDF.
You're correct, a cheat and a liar, yes, a "fake" and a "phoney", no ways, an incredible athlete, definitely.
