Are those things legal? That's a flying surveillance device.
They sell them in toy shops, so I'm sure they are.

One of those comes over my fence and I will strike down upon it with mighty force (probably the hose pipe, but then I'd go out and buy an air rifle).
Now I would not encourage Eli to "spy" on neighbours ...... I think one can have lots of fun (as per the clip) without doing anything silly.
They are awesome fun indeed. I don't have one but I've played with my friend's. But the video is perhaps a bit misleading. You won't sit on a roof and go explore the nearby park and play with a kid, then fly over to an alley where a couple is dancing and pass the drone between them and all that.
For one they don't have anything like the range the video appears to suggest. They are limited by the strength of the WiFi signal and the range is seriously diminished once you don't have line of sight.
Secondly, it is really hard to pilot them with such precision. I wouldn't fly the thing right in front of a kid on eye level as in the video. It wouldn't take much of a slip of finger to fly those exposed rotor blades straight into his face. I do think that with practice you will eventually be able to control it with greater precision and my friend certainly was way more adept than I was.
Finally, they don't really go that high. At a certain height the downward sensors start losing track of the ground, which is key to it stabilising itself. They are easiest to pilot when only a couple of meters or so above the ground.
At any rate, they are barrels of fun. I wish I got one for Christmas ?
