Yep, it can get frustrating waiting for parts, but as said they do get here. Best thing to do is plan you build properly and order what you need well in advance...

well that works perfectly for me! With the very little amount of spare time i have, it's probably best to have long periods of not being able to do anything on the build

:? or it could work out bad because parts haven't arrived when you have that vital free time and it gets wasted.... Just make sure to order them well before you know you'll have the time so even if they arrive while you're busy you know you have them ? it'll take planning but when you're playing your D-Man custom hand built guitar it'll be worth it

Don't under-estimate the anticipation buildup and excitement of getting the post office slip and then getting "the parcel" then opening it ...

...but the best advice actually is to wait with a build until you have ALL the parts. Most guitar parts come in slightly different sizes from what you bought last time around. Each and every time.
