I think, ideally, you'd need a separate license to drive at night, and a further one to drive on a highway or any road with a speed limit above 100 or more than 2 lanes in each direction.
I feel it should be like a pilot's licence. So many hours at night, in the rain, during the day, at peak times etc.
My sister was involved in a hit & run today in Sandton. guy didn't stop at a circle and hit them. Then he just drove off. Someone took a pic of the guy as he left so they have his licence plate no. So annoying.
I'm quite passionate about road safety, I've lost too many friends on the road
