My son got me one of these micro amps for Christmas. Quite a cool sound for such a tiny device. Wife is overjoyed that she does not have to hear me practicing with the gain full on my AC30 to get the right sound. Might even try it fro band practice but may struggle against some of the bigger amps.

Gearhead

Big differences between the different ones - the metal being quite a bit more distorted than the classic rock, which in turn is aggressive compared to the AC30. The latter does sound rather like a real amp - with earphones and at that level. Still, no way to get the full palette of AC30 tone with just the one gain control. Sounds rather fake amplified, forget band practice ?
