I drilled a hole in the wrong place of a bolt on neck to put onto the body...
so now i'm left with 5 holes instead of 4... will the extra hole create
any problems in terms of sound or sustain etc?

Well where's the whole? Post a photo perhaps.

its on the neck where you bolt it onto the neck pocket... its just an extra hole but just wanted to know if there would be any consequences from it

Shouldn't be a problem as long as it's not too close to another hole.

oh no, its not that close... its about a cm or so away from the next closest hole...
