Hi All,

My 1st Custom Guitar build ~ body = A/Mahogany, chambered & carved,/Body through strings/ Pups ~ Neck, Seymour Duncan vintage, Bridge /vintage Ibanez “Super 70’s, converted to 4 wire for coil split, Neck/5 piece laminated, 3pcs maple, 2pcs. A/Mahogany, 24.75”, Ebony f/board, 12” rad. Jumbo frets & Hippo Nut, (6 inserts, chamfered neck end for extra tight wood to wood contact, “sustain”). Hammered Titanium truss rod adj. cover, Locking tuners. Ebony f/b headstock veneer.
I am in the process of winding my own coil tapped (not coil cut) h/bucker pups, but with a "taller" bobbin.
I have pic's but an not too clever on this forum :'( ....
I used ?aw2005.84949@uploads.photobucket.com to email, but not sure where to go from there?!!

what did you use for the finish? ?

Hi Chocklit,
Urea Formaldehyde 2k, colour matched using, m/vehicle colour cards, "very hard" - Not automotive 2k, as it's too flexible. Vibration deadening, good advice from a great luthier of many years.

How did this pickup work out for you? It seems to be along the lines of the Vox Coaxe humbuckers (inner coil embedded in a larger outer coil)
