I'm keen to use these for stratocaster neck joint. Anyone here done it and what did you use?

M4 stainless steel Philips head screws (40 mm long) and M8 carbon steel inserts. I tapped the threads in the neck, rather than let the insert cut it's own.

Thank you Alan. And where did you source these? Seems pretty expensive to get them from overseas.

Acorn fasteners in centurion ray. Got them in my tele, work like a charm. you can check my build thread if you want the details
