So according to the hamer fanclub forum it appears this great manufacturer are calling it quits..
Not sure if it's a global shutdown or if the import line will still be available.

Yup. When Fender got the Hamer brand as part of Kaman, I had hopes that they could revitalise the brand the way they have with Gretsh, but not to be apparently. IMO, the Hamers round out the Fender range nicely, taking them into Gibson territory - something different from the Fender, Charvel and Gretsh lines. The US models are great instruments by any standards, but have always had a relatively low resale value, which hurts new sales badly.
